The table serves to mount woodworking devices. It can be assembled entirely from metal, which is better, especially for machines with a high power motor. The properties of the circular saw, the motor and the greatest thickness of the lumber, which is an option to cut, are mutually related. The purchased circular saw blade is marked with the maximum rpm for which it is designed. Number of revolutions transferred by the motor to the shaft is less. Motor power influences the very permissible cross-section of the toothed saw. Cross-section is obligatory than two, than thrice the thickness of material, otherwise it will be difficult to saw. It is believed that for the sawing of materials 100 mm wide, the motor needs more than 1 kW of power.

The transmission is made by V-belt only. if foreign objects get under the saw, the material jams, the belt slips on the pulleys. Injuries in this option is practically eliminated. It is important to choose the right gear ratio. Let’s take two figures into consideration: the engine rpm and the very permissible rpm of the circular saw. Calculate the cross-sectional areas of the pulleys. On the engine is installed pulley with a huge cross-section, and on the shaft for the circular saw. with the smallest, in order to increase the number of revolutions.

The speed of the shaft with a circular saw is not as simple as the motor speed, how much smaller is the cross-section of its pulley from the pulley cross-section on the engine.

For work with wood in huge volumes it is better to have a machine that allows you to cut the material, plan, select a quarter. Requires a fairly powerful motor, rigid table. We show the construction made of angle iron and steel. It ensures the cutting depth of 60 mm, of course to plan 200 mm wide boards. A three-phase 1.1 kW, 2700 rpm electric motor is used. Capacitors are needed for 220 V connection.

The designs of homemade sawing tables for manual circular saws are numerous, but most of them are the fruits of creative search and/or self-expression. However, they are quite workable. Instead of hinges. L-shaped pieces of bar D8; a small backlash in the tube does not affect the quality of sawing. Each “hinge” is additionally bent in a vertical plane at an angle of 30-45 degrees. The long “G” sticks are threaded and fastened in the headstock with a pair of nuts with split washers. The mounting holes in the tsargue are best marked in place by inserting the “hinges” into the tube and laying the table top on the base.

Make a solid sliding stop for the workpiece, as in pos. 3b in the large fig. at the beginning, not necessarily. It’s better to make it (stop) from a piece of 40×40 steel angle, having cut off its vertical flange, as it’s shown on the pic. (rear view).

Such stop is fastened to the table top with clamps, and its parallelism to the saw blade must be checked in any case; it is done with a metal-square with millimeter marks.

Circular saw is fastened to the table top spoilage with the disc upwards. If the tool is not under warranty and the loss of cutting depth is insignificant, 4 holes D8 are drilled in the saw shoe and it is secured by through-headed countersunk screws. It is very advisable to put 1-2 mm rubber between the shoe and the table top (like on the base of the table)., from the autocam), the cutting quality will improve noticeably due to the damping of vibrations of the tool. If it is necessary to minimize the loss of depth of cut, a through cut-out is made in the table top for the shoe of the instrument, the saw is fixed to the steel sheet of 3-6 mm thick and it is fixed in the rectangular hole on the front (working) surface of the table top (see Pic. rice. on the left). But the hole will have to be selected with a hand-held wood router, you can’t make it flush with a chisel.

If the tool is a warranty or rental tool, loss of depth of cut is inevitable, t.к. It is not allowed to make a hole in the saw shoe. For such a case, a variant of fastening of the saw in clamps is known (see “fastening of the saw in clamps”). trail. fig.). Not suitable for regular work in large quantities, but it can be done quickly and you can saw evenly for a day or two.
